Joan Eakin (former founding director of CQ) and Brenda Gladstone (current CQ director) discuss how to exploit the distinctive powers of insight of qualitative methodology, beyond cataloguing data into pre-existing concepts and scouting for themes in a new article, titled, “Value-adding” Analysis: Doing More With Qualitative Data. The authors take a critical approach to qualitative analysis, drawing upon years of experience developing and teaching qualitative analysis and interpretation, a core course in CQ’s ‘Essentials of Qualitative Research’ course series.
