Dr. Janet Parsons and Dr. Julia Gray were recently awarded the Rehabilitation Sciences Institute’s Teaching Award for their outstanding contributions to teaching. They were recognized for teaching JRP1000: Theory and Method of Qualitative Health Research, a core course in CQ’s ’Essentials of Qualitative Research’ curriculum. JRP1000 is jointly administered in alternate years with the Rehabilitation Sciences Institute and Dalla Lana School of Public Health.
Dr. Parsons is an Associate Professor in the Rehabilitation Sciences Institute (RSI) at the University of Toronto and Scientist in the Li Ka Shing Knowledge Institute at St. Michael’s Hospital. Dr. Gray is an Assistant Professor (Teaching Stream) in the Department of Health and Society at the University of Toronto Scarborough.
Recipients for this annual award must be nominated by at least one current of recent RSI graduate. Drs. Parsons and Gray were recognized for their achievements at the RSI Recognition Awards Ceremony on May 26, 2022, as part of RSI’s Research Day event.
