Thank you CQ Dissertation Award Committee!

March 24, 2021 by ccqhrAdmin

CQ would like to thank all of the Award Committee members for their time and dedication over the past decade for their role in awarding the Joan Eakin Award for Methodological Excellence in a Qualitative Doctoral Dissertation. Please join us in thanking:

Corinne Hart (Chair, 2010 – 2020)
Janet Parsons (2010 – 2020)
Marcia Facey (2010 – 2018)
Elaine Power (2010 – 2012)
Gail Teachman (2018 – 2019)
Jennifer Poole (2013 – Present)
Craig Dale (2018 – Present)

A particularly special thank you to Corinne Hart, who has served as the Committee Chair since the award’s inception.

CQ is proud to recognise the work of the committee, who have gone on to collaborate on several projects beyond their involvement in the Award Committee. See for example: Holding Firm: Power, Push-Back, and Opportunities in Navigating the Liminal Space of Critical Qualitative Health Research.

The CQ dissertation award was developed in 2010-11 to recognize a graduate of a doctoral program at the University of Toronto whose dissertation demonstrated excellence in critical qualitative research. For more information on the award and to view past recipients, visit the Dissertation Award page on our website.
